Don't panic if attacked
You may encounter an attacker that pushes you to the ground as he comes at you from the front. If this occurs, you can shove your knees hard into his chest and try to push him away. Your attacker may be a lot heavier than you, in which case try to protect your face by covering it with your hands and arms to avoid your attacker’s punches.
Don’t panic if he tries to get away. You can turn so your back is on the ground, wrap your legs
tight around his hips, and thrust him backward over your head, stunning him and allowing you to get away without the threat of him chasing you instantly.
With just these three Brazilian Jiu Jitsu moves, you may be able to avoid further injury or worse when attacked by a mugger or other criminal by providing yourself enough time to get away, relatively unscathed. Etchings and videos of these moves, among others, can be found easily on the internet, but physical experience such as you will find in a live class will be a lot more helpful and beneficial to your safety.
